Matteo Anedda is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (DIEE) at University of Cagliari. He received his B.Sc. degree in Electronic Engineering, and his M.Sc. degree (summa cum laude) in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Cagliari in 2011 and 2012, respectively. He received his Ph.D. in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the University of Cagliari in 2017. Since 2013, he is a member of the Net4U Laboratory (https://sites.unica.it/net4u/) of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (DIEE) at the University of Cagliari, and since 2014 he is a member of the Italian University Consortium for Telecommunications (CNIT). Dr. Anedda has undertaken several research experiences abroad. In 2010 he has been a visiting Erasmus student with the University of Basque Country, Bilbao (Spain), under supervision of Prof. P. Angueira. For his M.Sc. thesis Dr. Anedda has received an award from the Order of the Engineers of Cagliari. In 2015 he was a visiting researcher with Dublin City University (Ireland), under the supervision of Prof. G. Muntean, and in 2016 he spent eight months at Universidad de Montevideo (Uruguay), under the supervision of Prof. R. Sotelo. In 2020, he participated in the Young Researcher Mobility (MGR) program conducting research activity at the University of Transylvania, Brasov (Romania), under the supervision of Prof. Vlad Popescu. 

Since 2011 he is IEEE member, and he is also a member of the IEEE BTS Society, IEEE ComSoc, and IEEE CTSoc. Dr. Anedda has held several IEEE positions: vice-chair and chair of IEEE Cagliari Student Branch (CASB), and treasurer and secretary of IEEE BTS Italy Chapter. In 2022 he participated in the Organizing Committee Core Group for ICCE BERLIN - IEEE CTSoc as Publication Chair. From January 2023 he is chair of IEEE BTS Italy Chapter, and secretary for IEEE CTSoc SMC TC.
