Ang Boon Chong

Ang Boon Chong  was born in Penang, Malaysia, in 1978. He received the B.E. degree in microelectronic engineering from the University Putra Malaysia, Malaysia, in 2002, and MBA from Open University Malaysia, Malaysia in 2014. He is currently affiliated with Intel Malaysia, been engaged in a wide variety of  advance nodes and methodology evaluation. He has published over 40 papers as well as delivered 2 invited talks in 2 countries. He is currently a tech lead within the organization as well as IEEE senior member. 

He is currently a Professor in the Department of Electrical Machines and Materials, PUB, and has been the Director of the Laboratory of Electrotechnical Materials, PUB, since 1990. From 1995 to 1999, he was the Director of the Electromechanical Energy Conversion Equipment Research Center. Since 2007, he has been the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, PUB. He is a member of CIGRE and an observer in CIGRE D2 SC. He has published more than 200 scientific papers and books in the field of materials for electrical engineering and insulation systems. His research interests include aging mechanisms of electrical insulation, insulation systems testing, polymers breakdown, electrical and water treeing, and electrical materials (dielectrics and composites).
