Chih-Peng Fan

chih peng fan Chih-Peng Fan received the B.S., M.S., and, and Ph.D. degrees, all in electrical engineering, from the National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan, R.O.C., in 1991, 1993 and 1998, respectively. During October 1998 to January 2003, he was a design engineer for the cable modem and multimedia transmission project at the Customer-Provided Equipment (CPE) and Interface Technology Department (N100), Computer and Communications Research Laboratories (CCL), Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), Hsinchu, Taiwan. In 2003, he joined the Department of Electrical Engineering at National Chung Hsing University in Taiwan as an Assistant Professor. He became an Associate Professor in 2007, and a full Professor in 2013. He has more than 110 publications, including technical journals, technical reports, book chapters, and conference papers. His teaching and research interests include deep-learning for digital image processing and pattern recognition, digital video coding and processing, digital baseband transceiver design, VLSI design for digital signal processing, and fast prototype of DSP systems with FPGA and embedded SOC platform. He served and is serving as: TPC Co-Chair of ICCE-TW 2016; TPC Chair of ICCE-TW 2017; General Chair of ICCE-TW 2018; General Co-Chair of ICCE-TW 2019; Special Session Organization Chair of ICCE-TW 2020; International Coordinators of GCCE 2019 and GCCE 2020; Special Session Chairs of GCCE 2019 and GCCE 2020; Track Chairs of ICCE 2020 and 2021; TPC Co-Chair of ICCCI 2020 and 2021; Publicity Co-Chair of ICIET 2020 and 2021; Member of Editorial Boards of Journal of Image and Graphics; He is a member of Taiwan IC Design Society (TICD), IEICE, and IEEE.
