Alessandro Tonacci

alessandro tonacciAlessandro Tonacci is a Biomedical Engineer, PhD in Automation, Robotics and Bioengineering, currently Researcher at the Institute of Clinical Physiology of the National Research Council of Italy in Pisa. He is member of the Institute’s group of Informative Systems and Telematic Infrastructure, which is in charge for developing software and hardware tools for healthcare and well-being. Throughout the years, he has been active in conducting research works on the use of wearable tools, and related signal processing, for monitoring health and well-being conditions of several cohorts of people, from very young patients with neurodevelopmental and neuropsychiatric disorders (i.e., autism, anorexia nervosa) to old individuals with neurodegenerative diseases (e.g., dementia) and related prodromal stages (e.g., Mild Cognitive Impairment). More recently, he has achieved a Second Level Master on Big Data and Machine Learning in Biomedical Research from the University of Padua. He is co-author of more than 130 research products, with H-index 23, according to SCOPUS, and was listed among the Elsevier's Top 2% World Research Scientists (Single Year) in 2022. For the IEEE CTSoc, he served as a TPC Member for various conferences, including ICCE-Berlin, where in 2022 he served as TPC (co-)Chair, and ZINC.
