Kousik Sankar Ramasubramaniam has 24+ years of technical experience in various companies like Philips, Hewlett-Packard, Cisco, HCL etc. In his last role, he was Director (Technology) at Ascendum Solutions. Currently he is the founder of a funded healthcare startup and a visiting faculty at the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at PES University teaching practical artificial intelligence / Deep learning. His primary areas of expertise are digital video/imaging technologies like DVD, DVD+RW, Blu-ray Disc, portable music devices, HDD DVD recorders and associated formats. He has worked on a lot of Virtual Reality and Augmented reality projects for the Consumer Electronics domain. He has also filed a few patents and reviewed a lot of papers in Virtual and Augmented reality. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and is on the Technical Program Committee of various IEEE conferences including IEEE ICCE Las Vegas and IEEE ICCE Berlin. He is the co-founder and ex-Chairman of the IEEE Consumer Technology Society Bangalore Chapter. He is also the co-founder and Vice-Chair of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society Bangalore chapter. He has presented multiple papers at various IEEE conferences. He is a tech mentor for startups at IIM Bangalore.
