Andrea Monteriù

andrea monteriuAndrea Monteriù (S’04-M’06) received his M.Sc. degree in Electronic Engineering and Ph.D. degree in Artificial Intelligence Systems from Università Politecnica delle Marche, Italy in 2003 and 2006, respectively. Currently, he is Associate Professor at the Department of Information Engineering, Università Politecnica delle Marche where he leads the Laboratory of Artificially Intelligent Robotics (former Robotics Laboratory). He is editor of 11 books, and he co-authored more than 180 scientific papers in the area of fault diagnosis, fault-tolerant control, robotics, periodic systems, control of intelligent systems, assistive robotics, and human-machine interaction. He has been involved in more than 20 research projects funded by public bodies and private companies. He is currently serving as Vice-Chair for the IEEE Italy Section CE Soc Chapter, and as Chair of the IEEE CTSoc Technical Committee on Consumer Systems for Healthcare and Wellbeing. Monteriù’s research interests mainly focus on the areas of fault diagnosis, fault tolerant control, nonlinear dynamics and control, periodic and stochastic system control, applied in different fields including aerospace, marine, robotic and artificial intelligent systems, including assistive systems for healthcare and wellbeing.
